About Mandisa

Hello, I’m Mandisa L’Bert-Kaalima, RN-BSN, IBCLC, proudly serving families in Summit County. I bring over 14 years of experience in healthcare, having worked in local hospitals throughout Akron and most recently within a Community-Based Organization. These experiences have given me valuable insight into the challenges and barriers many mothers face when working toward their breastfeeding and infant feeding goals.

For more than 8 years, I have supported mothers on their breastfeeding journeys—beginning as a NICU staff nurse and Certified Breastfeeding Counselor, and later as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). My IBCLC work has spanned postpartum, labor and delivery, special care nurseries, and now the community setting. As a mother of three who experienced my own breastfeeding challenges, I understand firsthand how difficult this journey can be—especially without  education and support.

At Nurtured by Mandisa, we offer a range of services designed to meet families where they are, including prenatal education, interactive breastfeeding workshops, private in-home visits, virtual consultations, monthly support groups, and personalized one-on-one sessions. My goal is to support you with compassion and encouragement, helping you meet your infant feeding goals while celebrating every milestone in a nurturing and supportive environment.
